Why dry lubrication?

When talking about lubrication methods for these conveyors, wet lubrication (water and soap) and oil based lubrications seem to be the most implemented in a lot of factories. Whereas it sometimes seems obvious to use these kind of systems, there is an alternative to even increase the benefits of conventional lubrication, and minimalize, or even completely remove the downsides of these conventional methods. With this I’m talking about “MicroDry®”, a lubrication system developed, designed and created by a company named CHP

CHP is installing its MicroDry® dry lubrication methods since the first successful prototypes ano 2001. Thanks to the direct contact principle, it is not a dry lubrication system, but a “MicroDry®” system.

 

With a minimal amount of lubricant (DLT-333®) the cost is neglectable which also brings other benefits like dry floors and minimal logistics.

 

Because most company’s in this sector, aim to go as “green” as possible, this is a great alternative where you don’t need any water to lubricate the conveyors. Even the optional integrated cleaning system, works so precise, that nothing but the bare minimum of water and detergents is used to clean all the belts. 

 

In short, this innovative technology not only gives more benefits and a reduced Total-Cost-of-Ownership compared to other lubrication methods, it also helps save the environment by eliminating water necessary to lubricate the conveyor belts.
